Meesha Shafi shines as a star for her parents, who have an extended family tradition of arts, philosophy, culture, and acting. Meesha was born to performer Saba Hameed. Her writing talent comes from her father, Hameed Akhtar, an innovative Urdu writer who was the leader of the “Progressive Writers’ Movement” for several years. Meesha Shafi launched her solo career with her performance in Coke Studio, the now-global music platform. Meesha Shafi has also shown the essence of acting in Bollywood projects, including Pakistani films. The story film revolves around a 13-year-old Pakistani boy and his Pakistani parents, and the film will show the American life of the 1990s and the conditions of Muslims at that time.
