Privacy Policy

his privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website www.infoinsect.com that include links to this Privacy Policy and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.  This Privacy Policy also applies to information we collect in electronic messages between you and the Sites.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to any website operated by third parties. 

What information we collect and why we collect it

We collect information from and about users of our Sites, including information:

Infoinsect does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your information to third parties for profit.

You agree that we have the right to disclose Personal Information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy:

  • To provide access to Infoinsect services.
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if you sign up for certain services or provide information for a certain purpose, we may share your information in order to provide those services and fulfill that purpose. 
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information or with your consent.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your Personal Information in order to comply with applicable law.

Embedded data, third party websites and embedded content from other websites

If you upload images to our Sites with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), third party visitors to the website may be able download and extract any location data from those images on the website. Infoinsect is not responsible for any such extraction of location data by third party visitors from images you have uploaded to our Sites.  If you desire to upload images to our Sites, we encourage you to remove any embedded location data.

Our Sites may contain links or references to other websites outside of our control. Please be aware that this Privacy Policy does not apply to these websites.  Infoinsect encourages you to read the privacy statements and terms and conditions of linked or referenced websites you enter.  These third-party websites may send their own cookies and other tracking devices to you, log your IP address, and otherwise collect data or solicit Personal Information.  

Additionally, articles on this site may include third party embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from third party websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the third party website.

These third party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that third party website.


Google Analytics 

Our Sites may use Google Analytics to collect non-personal information regarding your use of the Website.  Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Sites, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they visit prior to or after coming to this site.  The data collected through these tools is not tied to any Personal Information about you.  To know more about data collected by Google, visit http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/. How long we retain certain of your Personal Information

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata may be retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you register on our website, we also store the Personal Information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own Personal Information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

How we protect your Personal Information

We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect Personal Information that is submitted to us, both during its transmission and once we receive it.
